I made this cake for a young friend who loves chocolate. His cake was chocolate with yummy chocolate filling. To accomodate non-chocolate lovers at the party I baked a batch of vanilla cupcakes to go with the cake, but I added just a touch of chocolate to each one. The gold balls on top are actually chocolate candies rolled in edible gold dust. They were a huge hit with all the kids!
